M35A2's are rare to be auctioned off now. It was just the M939 series 5 tons that were coming out. But now the future of MV's may be in jeopardy. Apparently there's some higher up movement spawn from the EPA.



I hope it'll all blow over. But if it IS due to the EPA, rumor has it, the trucks released will only be sold without engines and no titles.

How reliable are these and what are the maintenance costs?

They're a very simple design. The M44 series was designed in the 50's. Believe it or not, there's still some in service still! Pretty much routine maintenance is just oil changes and normal maintenance.

The have a multifuel engine if you're into "prepper" stuff as well.

It's not even funny how often the topic comes up of purchasing a deuce and a half or some other military type vehicle just for the hell of it. Then again i want to buy a tractor and bush hog just to cut my 1/3 ac of grass....
