Item has been relisted, you can find the new listing at: http://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/fs-ft-m1-garand-springfield-armory.887589/
Item Name: FS/FT M1 Garand Springfield Armory, Field Grade, reduced
Location: Georgia
Zip Code: 31794
Item is for: Sale
Sale Price: $700
Caliber: 30-06
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: This is a M1 Garand manufactured by Springfield Armory. Serial number is in the 3,500,000 range, which puts the gun as manufactured in March 1945. I bought it from the CMP years ago and have never fired it. It still has the packing grease on the bolt. I have the pamphlet that came with it from CMP. The wooden forearm appears to have been repaired at some point while in service. It was this way when I received it from CMP. It still has the hang tag that came from CMP. The tag reads: SA FG GK, which I am assuming means Springfield Armory, Field Grade, Greek Return.
For a 70 year old gun that has been through several wars, it is in good condition. Stock has the usual dings expected from a surplus rifle. There is some wear of course on the finish but overall gun looks good. Muzzle gauge is a 2.
$700 PM if interested
