Item Name: FS/FT M48A / Mauser K98 8mm
Location: Rome to Marietta
Zip Code: 30161
Item is for: Sale or Trade
Sale Price: $600
Trade Value or Items Looking For: Springfield XD Mod2.0 in .40SW or 9mm
Caliber: 8mm
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: This is a very nice post-war Mauser 98. The M48 was made on German tooling set up in formerly occupied Serbia. It is in military-new condition with clean, bright bore and action. Original Factory matching serial numbers on all rifle parts. This rifle was not manufactured by Germans during the occupation. It was manufactured with German and FN technology in Serbia after the people had driven the Germans out of Yugoslavia. As such, the Model 48 is recognized as an excellent example of the Mauser 98 Karbine type military rifle.
I bought it "new," and have put less than 20 rounds through it in the 15 or so years I have had it. It still looks nearly new. No rust. The wood is pristine. The action is shiny like new.
I also have 225 rounds of ammo that could be included or sold separately.
I'd prefer to sell it, but will consider trading for a Springfield XD mod2.0 in 40 or 9. I would also consider ammo in trade - mostly 5.56 or 9mm, but a few others also interest me.
Let me know what you have and thanks for looking!
I can meet near Rome, or along 75 between Adairsville and Marietta.
