I have a Smith & Wesson 29-8 Mountain Gun “Outfitters Edition” .44 Magnum
The “Outfitters Edition” was a Cabela’s exclusive run. This is an extremely rare gun. I’ve been in contact with the Smith and Wesson Historical Foundation and have the date of manufacture, shipping date, and the original Cabela’s this gun was sold at. They could not tell me how many were made but it looks like there were less than 1,000 of these made.
I originally was going to keep it but I’d rather it go to a serious Smith & Wesson Collector or someone who will appreciate this specimen. It just sits in my safe.
Gun is in great shape. Bluing is excellent, wood grips are good, tight lockup and function, crisp trigger, etc.
No box or paperwork.
Also comes with a Galco Alaskan Chest Holster that retails for $309
