I'm still in the process of downsizing and simplifying so that brings me to list a very nice condition 2001 year, 196- prefix Ruger Ranch Model Mini-14. This very clean example of Ruger's rugged ranch rifle based on the robust Garand action is chambered for the 5.56 NATO round and stamped.223 caliber. Although the Ruger Ranch Mini 14 is chambered for the same 5.56 NATO cartridge, can accept high capacity magazines and has a comparable rate of fire as the well known AR-15 style weapons, it avoids the “Weapons of War” reputation by it’s more traditional and less threatening appearance that kept it off the 1994 Assault Rifle’s to be banned list. The Ruger company even added the word “Ranch” to its name to further isolate it from those evil black “Assault Rifles” that the gun grabbers hated so much. The Ruger Min-14 Ranch Rifle enjoys a large group of loyal followers because of its easy to operate ergonomic design, integral scope mounting points, accuracy, quick handling and natural aiming reputation. The rifle originally belonged to a friend of mine who sold it to me when the AR-15 urge wouldn't leave him alone. There were less than 500 rounds fired through it when I bought it from him and I have never fired it. It will come with the standard Ruger Mini-14 5 round magazine, box, manual and lock. If you are in the market for a very nice used Mini-14, here it is. Trade interest are listed above or surprise me.
