I’m sorry, but in my not so humbled opinion, this kind of guns are about as collectible as Cola bottles or WV Beatle (only 27 million been produced). I own few expensive rifles, but I don’t consider myself a “collector”, I’m a shooter, and they are expensive for a reason: exceptional engineering, superb materials, amazing precision, superb glass etc.
these Russian made stamped pos with poor everything, made on WW2 equipment and tooling, intended for conscript, ugly as it gets, capable of about 4-5” accuracy, if you’re lucky for 10k? Because this pos is no longer imported? There’s plenty of junk in 3rd world, go collect! People who would pay this kind of money for this kind of product need either education or mental evaluation, or both.
I’m very very VERY old if someone pays 10k for that.
Bye felecia!!

Well first off you're wrong on a couple of points: she isnt a stamped rifle they're milled receivers. While it may look like an oversized ak its no PSL and definitly not an ak nor meant for joe blow troops this was one of USSRs most closely guarded technical package for the longest time and the only reason the chinese got one was they captured it (the entire reason there is a psl or similar rifle) and was designed by an Olympic shooter to fill the DMR role not "sniper". This also is not the military version and was refined further for the civilian hunting market before it was banned for having an evil look. Also basic economics drive price so regardless of your "feelings" as to what makes a superb rifle (muh 1911 2 world wars!) this was one of the most advanced rifles in the world upon its adoption along with its optic and remained so for a very long time. While this doesnt pull the money a true SVD or NHM does its still one at heart even though it lacks a few features

Having owned a variety of NDM86S, SVDs, and Tigers this pricing is wildly ambitious. A Tiger, nor a PSL for that matter, is a “Dragunov” so calling it one is misleading. The Tiger is not a “dragunov” no matter what a dealer says. No, putting a stock on one doesn’t make it so either. It’s a civilian export. Different chamber, barrel, markings, furniture, features and so on. The amount of juiced up Tigers being sold as SVDs is crazy. This is right there with NIB Norincos trying to get $6k. Of course, OP isn’t claiming any of these things but it’s jarring to see a hunter-pattern with that asking price. GLWS but I fear the only person buying this will have to be tricked into it.

Please don't take this the wrong way. I'm not a gun expert, but rather an enthusiast. Back in 2009, I went to a gun show in Gainesville, GA. At the Show, I saw an old man with a table, The old man had not less than 10 long-range rifles, some of them Hunting rifles and some other military-style rifles, he had one that got my attention, that he called a True Dragunov Tiger. Russian made in 8mm with beautiful wooden furniture, He wanted like $1800 for it including the scope, sling, and box he had adapted for it. He also had a Serbian made Dragunov with darker wood and the same caliber, I recognized a Belgium made FN Fal ($4,000), and Israeli made Fal wooden furniture with a bipod ($2,000), a mid 80's Polytech in the box($2000) with the sniper stock, and a Ruger 77 (super nice) like around ($800). The Question then was he pulling my leg or overestimating his guns.??? At the time I didn't have the money or taste for that type of rifle, but as I grew older and gained a little more knowledge, I'm starting to develop an interest in these long-range rifles and would love to run into that same old man and buy some of his guns. By the way, I really enjoy these forums.
