Item Description: This is a most unusual factory Winchester Model 70. It was produced as a Model 70 Carbine Short Action and is so marked on the barrel. It has a 20 inch barrel and a walnut stock. This rifle was only produced from 1984-87 and this one was made in 1984. After 1987 Winchester redesigned the rifle, lengthened the barrel, changed the stock shape and checkering and called it the Model 70 Featherweight.
This rifle is a quick handling gun and comes with a 3X9 scope. Condition is 95+ with one small ding on the fore stock where it fell over in the closet. I can provide more pictures upon request.
I am selling this rifle for a friend in my church who has medical issues and can no longer hunt. We are asking $550.00 OBO for the rifle. For those of you that always ask about trades(and that includes me), I will consider handguns or lever guns that are reasonably priced as I will have to buy the trade to pay my friend the full sales amount.
