The J. C. Higgins Model 103.18 is a variant of the Marlin Model 100 and was made in the period 1936-1941 for sears.

Nice and clean Sears single shot by j c higgins, model 103.18 bolt action.
Shoots true and action is slick.
Correct tiny brass bead front sight makes it an easy shooter.

I believe that one was boiled linseed oil and probably has a finish wax on it as well..
Howard's Orange Oil and Beeswax is always a nice touch up twice a year
