The Knox works really well on the Shockwave and it keeps the length legal. It is also good as a replacement for the factory pistol grip on the JIC and Persuader models.

Just remember that you can only change the gripto a stock on a shockwave if you register it as a SBS-short barrel shotgun, the birds head grip is what defines it as a firearm and not a shotgun.

It is the overall length being greater than 26", not the bird's head grip itself (which does make it greater than 26" as does the Knox). With a factory pistol grip it is less than 26", with the bird's head and with the Knox grip it is greater than 26". The letter from the ATF is attached below the link.
