Usually these are overdone on the engraving. I'm my opinion, this one is balanced just right. Very nicely done.

Smith and Wesson did the engraving. It’s a special edition as the display case came with it as well.

Sweet. I don't know much about the .45 caliber. I skipped it and went from 9mm to 10mm. Thoughts?

Personally, I like the tradition of the 45. To me a proper 1911 is a single stack 45.

But that’s just one mans opinion.

Have you gripped the single and double stack 1911's? Is the single stack more comfortable in the hand?
