would you consider a trade for a rifle? I have a Swedish 6.5mm that I don't hunt with anymore. It has a simmons scope on it, 3-9 I think. this is just what I have been looking for. I am local to the warner robins area. I can send pics of the rifle if you would like.

Don't know the manufacture date, the test date was April 1 of this year. The date doesn't matter too much, S&W's consumer safety alert applies to all pistols made before Monday of this week. Either way, I checked the pistol like they instructed in the safety alert, and it's fine. Anyone who buys the pistol is certainly welcome to do the test if they would like as well, it's simple enough.

Don't know about anyone else, but thanks for posting the link. My wife has one as her EDC, hers appears okay. Thanks again.
No problem man, I have a 9mm Shield that's my carry gun, and it is fine too. I'd imagine the defect (faulty spring perhaps?) affects relatively few pistols.
