the "upper" is the part housing the bcg......that's german/hk? if the receiver is HK who cares if the trigger pack is us made.

Yep, the upper is the firearm on these. If the US lower bothered you, you could "clip & pin" an Hk lower, put the semiauto trigger pack into it, and be legal and mostly German. Actually the "clip" is the important part, the "pin" is just cosmetic.

Any mention on what year this was built/imported? Or if the original lower ended up a registered sear? Not that I need another roller lock rifle, just interested in how it ended up in its current configuration, and what its stamped (Hk91, G3, SAR3/8).
