Absolutely stunning!!!You want rare? Here is rare! Up for grabs to one lucky collector is No.6 of 10, 1999 manufactured, 24 Karat Gold Plated, 1895SS (45-70), JM stamped, Bartow County Georgia Commemorative Marlin lever action.
Stunning is an understatement. I'm a casual collector of Marlins and I am considering buying this one for myself, as I know I will likely never see one FS again. It is addicting to look at and I keep finding myself opening the case to gawk at it.
This gun, like the other ones I'm listing, comes from an estate from someone who collected mostly Marlins. I was told this particular Marlin was one of his favorites. He liked it enough to spend $3000 in 2004-05 money. It is being listed at a bargain, slightly over just inflation.
If you want to kill every lever action porn thread on ODT, this would be the gun to do it with... Below are 120 pictures of this beauty, but even all those pictures don't do it any justice.
This gun is one of many NIB collectable firearms I will be listing for a friend. His late father over the years acquired many collectable firearms, concentrating on Marlins. 90% of the guns in the estate are NIB. 7 years after his passing, the heir of the estate has decided to sell most of the collection. I have offered to assist the friend in listing the guns for sale, so this is one of many you can expect me to list in the coming days and weeks. That said, every gun I list will be in my possession. No trades. Preferably local sale, but will ship at the buyers expense.
Thanks, Snail
