Good condition, shoots flawlessly.

Luxembourg was the fourth country to order the SAFN 1949 rifles with the first order placed on October 4, 1950 and taking possession of the first 1,500 rifles by May 5, 1951. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg would eventually purchase a total of 6,306 rifles including rifles specifically for Luxembourg's Gendarmerie, all in caliber

I used to own one (or two) of these myself. I liked it over the Garand. The Garand is a Classic, but I think the FN-49 is as effective, just not as wide spread. Plus, I could top it off with 5 round strippers or single rounds and not have to wait for the en bloc clip to eject. This is one of the BEST Battle Rifles that was built. Parts are still available thru Numrich, but you won't hardly need anything. These guns are robust.

Thanks, I also have the Argentine converted to .308 with 20 round detachable magazines. They are great rifles.
