I know someone recently was asking about how hard it would be to find an all original WWII era Garand rifle.. I cant remember who it was but might be worth it to you to look for him. It was only a week or so ago

You may be talking about me insulinboy. I found a nice original WWII era Garand a couple of weeks ago and lucky me it was 10 miles from home. Had I not bought that one I would consider this one.

Just a suggestion if you are going to block out the serial number do the last 3. Most collectors like to know the serial number rage/date like 2.2 million 1.8 million etc.

The last 4 numbers don't mean a thing unless we can see the whole serial number, the first digits tell the date it was manufactured. So as previously stated, revealing the full S# could triple the value if the number has a certain range or certain number of values present.

Muzzle is 4 throat is 5. First three on the serial is 287.
