Up for sale is an amazing S&W .38 Special revolver. Four inch barrel. The “C” series serial # puts production around 1949-50. The estate I got It from purchased it “around 1951,” before he went to Korea. He shot it 6 times, cleaned it and stuck it in his sock drawer-for over 60 years. The bluing is around 98-99% condition. There is a small wear on the edge of the muzzle, on an edge of the cylinder, an and very slight ring around the cylinder-and that’s about it. The bluing is clean and tarnish free. All markings are sharp and crisp-like new. The case hardening on the hammer and trigger is still complete, albeit just slightly faded. The stocks are near perfect, with just a slight rub on the bottom of one. All screws are perfect. It doesn’t look 75 years old.
