Gen2 PSA AK will have a star on the front trunnion, above the two rivets.
Like this:

Gen 2 and 3 are good rifles. Only US made AKs I would recommend to anyone.

It does have the star, how do you differentiate between a Gen2 and Gen3? I have not been able to locate that data.
