I have decided to sell one of my 17-Remingtons. This one is a Light Varmint Stainless Fluted 700. The original stock has been replaced due to having one of those sticky limbsaver recoil pads that comes on these rifles from Remington. Contacted Remington and they would not replace it...par for the course. I replaced the stock with a new factory SPS Varmint camo stock which cost $200. It fit perfect and actually feels great and is very well balanced. There are no marks, scratches, or wear on this rifle. It is super clean, sharp rifling, and is in 99% condition. The price is for the RIFLE ONLY...it does not include the scope. A little history on the 17-Remingron for those not familiar with it. The 17-Remington is a center-fire cartridge that was developed as a wild cat caliber based off the 222-Remington Magnum and the case was necked down to 17. It pushes a 20-grain bullet at 4250 fps at the muzzle. A barrel burner, but with this stainless fluted barrel, there is plenty of life. This rifle has a very low round count. And for non-reloaders, you can still find factory ammo. If interested PM me or contact me at 706-968-3956 for a quicker response.
