Item Description: Ruger .44 Rem Mag Carbine. Year 1967. 4 round tube capacity. 1 round in chamber. Loads like a shotgun. Comes with Leupold VX-II 1x4 scope with Butler Creek caps. Leather cheek rest. I added Traction grip to forend, pistol grip and buttstock. Use a hairdryer on warm to remove. Will not hurt the finish. Butler Creek sling hold 4 rounds. Stock is in really great shape. Also comes with spare extractor, hammer springs, recoil spring and cartridge tube spring, gas piston plug and pin and Allen wrench to remove barrel band. The barrel bands were known to slip off if the screw gets loose. A brass thru pin has been added to secure the barrel band. The brass pin is easily remove when removing the barrel band for take-down. All the ammo pictured comes with the rifle. Also an extended butt pad and Bushnell TRS-25 (works like new).
The rifle likes 240 grain and Hornady 200 grain. It does not like aluminum cased ammo. Box of Blazer 44 included. The range photo shows the target I used to sight the scope in. Started out high and right. Made adjustments and walked it in to an inch low at 25 yards. I put the scope on at the beginning of March before the world went to crap. I fired 50 rounds and not one malfunction. The rifle is spotless clean.
Rifle case included. I’m selling the rifle because I’m worried about income. Working now and getting paid but things might go south at work due to Covid-19. Got family to take care of. Anyhow. FTF. I will bring one N95
mask to the transaction for the buyer to wear and keep. $1000 firm.

Recoil is not a kick. It’s more like mini-pogo stick on your shoulder. Pushes back not up. Pretty good for follow up shots on hogs. It’s really made for thick brush. It only weighs 6.5 lbs.

That is the quintessential "Brush-Gun" for sure. Low recoiling, "death and taxes reliable", and twigs don't deflect it's trajectory either. A big fat, flat/truncated cone pill/projectile is a bone, pelt, and sinew's, wrecking ball. Paired with "Underwood's 255 grain and/or even better their 305grain Hard Cast loads, with the extra barrel velocity, and this rig is a buck, hog, "Sasquatch's" (hahahaha), nightmare 200 yards and closer! My favorite alltime Brush-Gun! GLWS... it won't be here long!
