Beautiful Ruger 77 MarkII ultralight in 257 Roberts caliber made in 1999-2001For ones not familiar with the ultralights it is basically a slim down version of the regular Ruger 77 but with a 20” pencil barrel and a attractive black ebony rosewood fore end tip with very nice checkering and grip cap on a Walnut stock.A normal length of pull and weights in at six and one half pounds.I don’t know the history of this particular rifle but from the looks of bolt face , receivers throat and overall appearance I doubt if it has ever been fired or hunted with.I’ve owned it a few years and never fired or hunted with it.Rifle looks like new, blueing is a deep polish finish in excellent condition the wood finish is also very nice but I can’t say in excellent condition probably 98/99%.Ruger history numbers research shows rifle as being shipped in 2001 but the box is a 50 year anniversary dated 1999.Rifle and box serial numbers match so rifle was probably made in 1999. Rifle will come with box ,papers, rings .It has been stated that the 257 Roberts is possibly the best deer caliber ever made but I guess that is debatable.Introduced in the early 30s .
