Item Description:
This is a U.S. Treasury IRS CID commemorative S&W nickel-plated .38 special model 15-4. CID #0927. Comes with a numbered belt buckle in engraved presentation case. This gun was given to my dad when he retired as a special agent of the Treasury Department. He kept it for years, and I got it after he died. As far as I know, it has been shot around a hundred times. I am selling it to fund another project. I think it would be a nice addition to a special collection.

Don't get me wrong but You need to keep that.
Something that was given to your father at his retirement? That nice of a gun, custom presentation also...I couldn't part with it.

I hope you do find another way to your other project, it is your stuff though. Very nice piece!
GLWS :)

Thanks for the reply! I know it may seem strange being from my dad. We just were not that close and it wasn't like what you expect in a father passing down a family heirloom. It's more of like mom said, "this was your dads thing and I don't want it, so you take it". It's definitely a cool gun, it would mean more to me to use what I make off it to get something I really would enjoy.
