Item Description: This Savage was built between 1978 and 1982 as far as I remember. It was specifically designed for real accurate, long range Steel Silhouette shooting (chickens at 100, Pigs at 200, Turkeys at 300 and Rams at 500 yards) Long before sniper rifles were trending. Heavy Barrel, "Wundhammer" Palm Swell heavy stock, Glass Bedded and Sweet trigger. On this one I added a fully adjustable Metal butt pad between the recoil pad and wood stock. The Stock was factory stippled for terrific non slip grip and is unique to these rifles. Rare to find, supper accurate with 168 BTHP. Rare rifle!! Shimit 4-12 AO Target scope. Without scope - $550.
