I have a similar rifle in 30-06, all original. The S&W markings are on the receiver and still should be under
the scope bases, mine has never had a scope on it so I see the S&W.

I have one in .30-06, same color wood, checkering, incredibly smooth action. Purchased it in 1968 at Rich's Department store, if you can believe that.

The Mannlicher stock is interesting.

I would imagine with the additional weight, .257 would have virtually no recoil.

Good price for a high quality gun.

I also have a 30-06, it’s not a full stock, it’s a Husqvarna marked rifle with a real slim stock, lightweight, great gun to carry and hunt with but has some recoil.

I’m kinda old fashioned, guess that’s why I like these older rifles.

Glad to see other folks have them and are still using them.

Y’all take care
