Item Description: I have for sale a Springfield Armory M1 Garand (receiver is 2.6 million)... haven't seen too many like it and it shoots beautifully but i need to get some cash for an unexpected car problems and i have another post war SA Garand and another ww2 Winchester so this one must go.

*the receiver is 2.6 mill ww2 Springfield Armory (with greenish/grey parkerization)
*barrel is virtually new (1/1 recorded from the previous odt member who i bought it from) with no marking that i can find without taking the wood off.
*all parts are USGI Springfield Armory parts and marked that way- op rod, trigger group, sights and other small parts, etc.
*very nice wood stock with some small cartouches with web sling

(i think this m1 was a pre-Vietnam rebuild, just never went... real dark parkerization on the small parts and the rifle looks untouched)

Let me know if you have any questions about the rifle or anything else id be glad to help, I know these rifles fairly well.
price is pretty firm- $950

I am interested. about what year would you put this manufacture. When you say post war does that mean Korean ear period. good looking rifle. you can also reach me faster at 404 8six7 47five3 thanks

This receiver is 2.6 million (1944-45? ww2) the rest of the rifle is probably a post Korea pre vietnam rebuild mix.
I didnt build it, came that way from whatever armory rebuilt them at that time (late 50's/early 60's.
But the rifle in total is all springfield armory usgi parts nonetheless.
