I purchased the gun from a friend and have never shot it, but the slide works as it should. Of course, I would shoot before meeting you. The only issue other than being a used shotgun, it does have some surface rust on the metal parts. I had purchased the gun anticipating refinishing the stock and oil and steel wooling the barrel which I never got around to.
