That looks like a pure self punishment pistol. 44 mag has enough kick in a full size 29 but that must be like a rocket on a bicycle. HOLD ON!!!

I've got a 7.5 inch ruger blackhawk in 44mag and also this one. They both kick, its 44 mag, but this one isn't any worse than the blackhawk since it has the big rubber handle to hold onto. It doesn't slide in your hand like the blackhawk does.

With any 44 mag, you can pick how much pain you want :-D (180gn vs 300gn)

I have the same blackhawk with hogue grips. Haven't shot it yet but didn't think the wood grips S&W 29 I had was that bad. Fun caliber to shoot.
