Item has been relisted, you can find the new listing at: https://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/t...force-marked-webley-ric-no-1-box-set.2534922/
Item Name: FS Toronto Police Force Marked Webley RIC No 1 Box Set
Location: Statham
Zip Code: 30666
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: $3200
Caliber: .442 Webley
Willing to Ship: Yes
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: Up for sale is a very rare piece of history. Offered on ODT first! On Tuesday I will be listing it on Gunbroker for more money, and if I still have it this fall at Tulsa, it will be on my table with an even higher price tag.
Less than 40 known examples of police marked (non metro) webley RIC no 1s survive. This is the lowest recorded serial and TPF rack number.
Early acorn ejector and unfluted cylinder. As British records are largely incomplete, I estimate production as 1889. Toronto Police Force used these from the early 1900s on up until shortly after WWI.
Action is smooth and solid. Lockup is tight. Mechanically this revolver functions just like it did 130+ years ago when it rolled out of the factory. Strong rifling with minor frosting throughout the bore. Traces of fire blue remain in protected areas. The grips are complete and the checkering is strong with little to no wear.
Includes everything pictured.
Antique box with police shield inlay on the outside, and Webley trade label inside. Reproduction metropolitan police whistle and reproduction Victorian era handcuffs with serial matched key.
This is an antique and can ship to your door without need of an FFL.
NEW: I have also acquired a cleaning rod and 6 rounds of antique W.R.A Co ammo for it.
