Hello!
*I'm very sorry for the long descriptions! Just trying to be honest about these guns, and don't want to unintentionally hide anything that you might consider to be an issue...
The Makarov has two magazines, one 12-round (factory) and one 10-round (aftermarket). Also, an aftermarket, fixed rear sight and nylon holster are included. $500
*8-round single stack Makarov mags work with this model, also - tested it, and it cycled with no problems.
Caveats:
--The grip looks exactly like a factory grip, but it's actually aftermarket - you can see that there is a small gap where the top of the backstrap meets the frame of the gun (I think the factory grip might also fit in this manner, but just pointing it out).
--The factory rear sight is adjustable with a spring-loaded leaf kind of thing, and these springs are known to bounce when firing the gun, and the sights can gradually skew after firing several shots, hence the additional fixed sight. I haven't tried it with the fixed sight yet.
--One last thing - the factory mag feeds with no problems, but there is just a little bit of "stick" when the follower reaches the top of the mag, and it wouldn't always hold the slide after firing the last round. I slightly filed (with a fine toothed file!) the protruding metal from the follower, but haven't fired the gun since, so I don't know for sure if it will reliably push the slide stop after the last round - but now hand racking it does hold the slide on the empty mag. More polishing or a stronger mag spring might resolve this if it is still a problem.
***(SOLD)*** The CZ-82 has three factory mags and three aftermarket "imposter CZ" mags. Also includes a leather CZ-82 holster. $250
Caveats:
--This gun should have been listed as a gunsmith special when I bought it (it was listed as a working gun) - it has been factory re-finished with the CZ grey cerakote(?), but it was missing the sear spring, the trigger bar was worn out, and the grips were not fitted for an 82 (they were 83 grips) and eventually broke.
--A new CZ sear spring and trigger bar were installed and the gun works with no problems with the three factory mags. However, the "CZ imposter" mags (which are often listed as CZ-brand online... beware!) don't work reliably. Supposedly they can be made to work - or you could use them for failure drills.
--A new set of 83 grips have been fitted.
--The last thing is that this gun seems to need a heavier than usual recoil spring, since the cycling of the slide is causing the hammer to somehow make an indentation under the slide, just in front of the firing pin stop (see photo). It fires and cycles with no problems, but the slide is not remaining forward quite as long as it should and the case starts to eject too early, with a little blow-by going on. FYI - Wolff Gunsprings has 16 lb. and 18 lb. extra power springs available for $7.89.
Thank you!
