2012 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon w/ hardtop
3.6L w/ manual 6 speed transmission
70851 miles currently

Bought for my daughter from gov auction out of Arizona, but with all the work due/done she hasn't driven it much other than learning to drive a manual and now just sits in the garage. It is stock not used offroad by myself, not even in the recent snow storm. The rubicon stickers were peeling off, and it has taken two full bufferings with wax to get the paint to shine. The hood does have hail damage that can be seen in the picture.

I have repaired/replaced the following; left cylinder head, lower intake manifold, spark plugs, 4 front ball joints w/ alignment, fabric door stops, new rim and tire (spare), brakes, steering stabilizer, front bumper (plastic and metal under it), front air dam/skidplate, all the fender clips, floor mats, freedom top screws, upper and lower radiator hoses, vacuum lines, evap lines and gas cap, left rear ABS sensor, cabin and engine air filter, and all the fluids front to back with synthetics. Brakes have been bled twice and the oil was just changed at 70776 miles.

I used it to drive back and forth to Macon from Eastman on occasions and it cruises right along. Air conditioning and heat works great, CD player and sirrus radio are great to listen to. It does kick out a check engine light or ABS/Traction light on a hot restart. The lights generally go out after a few restarts, but they are for multiple cylinder misfire, cyl 1 misfire, cyl 3 misfire, cyl 5 misfire, and/or bank b catalytic efficiency. There is no misfire felt idling or when driving, no fluids are being consumed and no ABS codes when downloaded.

If you have any questions, please reply on this thread or PM and I will get back with you as soon as I can.

Jeep is located in Eastman, but I do travel to Carrollton area to visit with family if a meet and great is needed.

Thanks, Justin

I thought rubicon had ceiling headliner and leather seats ?

Maybe I’m wrong but I thought 2012 rubicon came with ceiling headliner, leather seats and matching paint on the hardtop?

I dont know much about them really, except what I had to figure out. It has the upgraded speakers, front and rear elec diff lockers, elec sway bar and hard top. Picture is from the auction. I think it also has different springs and shocks from a standard. I did have an issue getting floor mats, they kept sending ones for a 12 JKU that didn't fit. Maybe the JKU is the leather and roof liner.
