This is a Smith and Wesson model 36-1 Chief's Special - 38 S&W Special CTG. 3 inch bull barrel 5 shot. I'd saying the blueing is 95% or better. From the numbers it looks like it was made around 1976.
I bought this from a friend who's Dad passed, and he had it in his safe for years. They didn't know any history on the revolver, only that he had it for a long time. It comes with a small clip on holster and a nylon case. I'm looking mainly for trades, other revolvers, or offer up what you have. I'm not looking for anything in .22lr.
