To be fair, Thermos never made a travel cup and they were branded as keeping hot things hot, not so much cold things cold.

That's incorrect at a basic level, had em in ouch boxes and were advertised as keeping hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold. Hell that was 50 years ago and was old science then.
