DELTA may be the nameplate, but its NWA management that rules the roost. Delta folded into NWA after the bankruptcy/merger. Delta burned its cash going into bankruptcy court and sold ASA to finance it's way through it. The merger with NWA was a winner for the folks at the tippy top...

So my employer has cut a deal with another company to outsource my job.
35 people +/- have been told our position will be eliminated company wide in roughly 5 weeks.
New company lacks the manpower to just walk in and replace us so they're going to be hiring some/most/all of us to do our current job in our current locations.
Brilliant!

For less pay no doubt. Sorry to hear that.

Sounds like their goal is to keep you in place, but at a lower cost. Expect to be offered less when you are hired to fill you own position in the new company.

Less pay, fewer benefits. Thats how that game is played.

Cut a deal with the new company. Nothing stellar but Im not losing anything. Basically a wash for now, after 90 days things will improve and then it will be a better deal than my current situation.
I'll post an update 90 days from July 18th or sooner if it all goes to hell....lol
