I've changed my mind about the Second Amendment

Then the issue is the system of incarceration and rehabilitation. Are you truly ready to start eliminating rights because we do a poor job of preventing repeat crimes? I'm not. Dangerous path we're on.

Only one fix for evil, and it's not incarceration or rehabilitation.

The problem is that many are released long before they are ready to successfully rejoin society. The extremely high rate of parolee's and ex cons that reoffend is proof of that. We are releasing many because of lack of housing in prisons.

Kill them, keep them in prison, or deport them, but don't punish others for the risk a small percent represents. That is the same argument that liberals use against all guns.

Not all liberals, but you are correct in the analogy. ;)

Oh no! Someone used an "assault weapon" to commit a crime that is statistically irrelevant....lets ban em' all...all guns.

So how can you agree with putting anyone in prison? That restricts far more rights than just the 2nd and it's based.off of what a politician considers a felony. As scary as it sounds, sometimes people forfeit certain rights if they commit certain actions.

I personally dont care what a politician labels a certain crime. A crime deserves a PROPER punishment. A serious crime (ie violent crime against another person) deserves a more severe penalty than say, writing a bad check. We need to get back to the basics and work on the real crime going on.

Ok, quickly. Yes worshiping etc is a protected right...opening a daycare is not. Daycares do not equal worshiping a god, even in a church.

If your contribution to the house of god is to watch other's children while they attend service then I'd say it could be argued that it's your way of serving god.

I like how you skipped the.sunday school teacher question though. That one had you in a bind didn't it?

Does anyone think gun laws affect criminals in a real way?

Ok, really gotta go. Have fun.

You are free to worship, not to teach. You'd make a terrible lawyer. Sorry, but your understanding of the importance of semantics in discussions like this make having a conversation with you fruitless. Carry on.

Violent/sexual felons have a ridiculously high recidivism rate. The whole "don't punish a lot for the actions of a few" argument isn't applicable.
