I like how judges give 1 year and a day just so they can MAKE a felon out of someone. Looks good on the books anyway. Let's se whom I can disbar this time..........

I've changed my mind about the Second Amendment

actually, certain feons can actually petition the parole board to have their 2A rights restored after they have successfully completed their parole. Felons automatically get the right to vote the day they complete parole.....
Seems there are a lot of people that don't know that just because you are released from prison doesn't mean you have paid your debt. Most every felon gets released on parole and must complete that in order to even petition to get their rights back. Essentially they are still in the prison system and living among us to prove they have been rehabilitated. I don't care personally what class of felony someone commits, they have shown the inability to have good judgement. Recidivism among felons is pretty high regardless of the crime. Bernie Madoff committed a white collar crime, do you think he should ever be trusted again? Would you give him a gun if he ever got out?
I have argued this same position, I have a friend who used had a gun in an armed robbery wile high on drugs in 1972. didn't hurt anyone, just brandished the gun. He served 6 1/2 years at the age of 17. He got out and never stumbled again, at the age of 59 after 42 years of a clean and upright life. 5 kids and 4 grand kids, business owner, He cant hunt, he cant protect and defend his family and he cant get his rights restored. That process or avenue to get your rights back is a Lie , He has poured lots of money into trying to get his rights back to no avail. A lesson for all of us, " Once they take or eliminate a right, You aint getting it back!"
I believe there is a line, that line is hurting another with a gun, if you cross that line you cannot get your right own back. otherwise after you have completed the prescribed penalty successfully you should be restored to normal status.

Well you are certainly entitled to believe whatever you want but that is hysterical. I won't even take an aspirin for a headache (but yes, I have, but VERY rarely). I sure as hell am not about to take chemical not specifically prescribed to me by my doctor! Yep.
I've never done the first one. The second one I'm not familiar enough with copyright laws to know what would be criminal or rise to the level of felony.
Never have done either. Far from an angel, never claimed to be but not a bit dog either.
Your ******ned right I'd trust him with a gun, afterall, he is still a US citizen and US citizens have the RIGHT to Bear Arms.
Do you trust him with the right of free speech? He did a lot more harm with that one than guns did he not?
If our rights are inalienable, how can they be stripped from us legally?

So you don't believe in incarceration... a loss of freedom?
I have no problem with Madoff having a gun, even in prison. Maybe he'd do us a favor.
Not a bit dog huh....have u films ever heard of caught & not caught.... ever body the age of being an adult has done something 2 in their life that if they had been caught they could have been convicted of a felony...then there goes your guns my friend...you can deny if if you want but that's just the facts of life...let the non sinner cast the 1st stone
If you are serving a sentence for a crime that's something different altogether, but when you are released your rights should be fully intact.
I wonder just how big of a problem "for profit" prisons are creating.
