This is gonna be awful, but i gotta do it. Going to take him to the vet saturday. Hes had a long life (16 or 17 years) but he is pretty much blind and deaf. Also is basically skin amd bones since he dont eat much, plus his back legs give out.

I dont like the idea of putting him out to pasture but its gotten to where we cant effictively take care of him (he cant help but pee inside now it seems).

Ive never done this before. Whats the run down on the procedure, anything i should expect or anticipate?

Man I am sorry, and yep Biker nailed it.

There was a guy on here a while back that mentioned a vet that would come do it at your house, and the price wasn't bad, a few bucks more than I paid at the vet. Just throwing that out there.

Sorry to hear that. I got my first lab when I got married, he went with me everywhere and got all my attention until the kids came along. It's tough but you can't let him live in pain. I had a person do it for me at my house and it wasn't very expensive as I recall. It's tough, but that's the cycle of life we all have to face.

"Whats the run down on the procedure".....It is done by injection and your dog will be gone in less than 1 second........very humane
