I Have a Marlin 30 30 that is JM stamped posted and live in Chatsworth.
I've seen it. It looks like a nice rifle, but I wish it had whatever medalion was supposed to be in the stock. Can you tell what size it is? i wonder if it was a coin or something.
I don't believe it was a coin. It is about half inch round and a quarter inch deep. Looks like someone mounted something.

let me add the caveat of no optics on the rifle. A peep sight or skinner sight would be okay, but not interested in paying extra for an old scope I don't need. Thanks guys
