Just got my carry license.. What to carry?

decide whether you can carry fullsize, compact, or mouse guns the best based on the way you dress and what profession your in

you can also legally open carry in georgia as well

i went form a p95 to a sig 2022 to a beretta 92fs to a cz 75 to a sig sauer. it might take time to find a good gun for you, but try out a cz75bd 9mm

I just got my permit as well and ended up with a Glock 17, impulse buy since the price was right. I had some concerns about concealing it but after purchasing a IWB holster from Aegis here on ODT the concern went away. It conceals very well with just a t shirt over it.

So my advice is find something you like, buy a good IWB holster for it and you are set.

Go to your LGS and put your hands on a few, then shoot them if you can.

It doesn't matter what you carry if you can't function the platform properly.

Glock 19 light small enough and still feels like a big boy gun and ugly so you dont feel bad for puting wear and tear on it

.... I am 6"3 185 pounds and tend to dress in a manner that doesn't make concealing super easy..

I'm 6' 165lbs and I carry an Hk USP 45C IWB with a spare mag on the other side fairly easily. I did have to slightly alter my clothing, but on the whole not too much. My wife is 5'3 118lbs and carries a Walther PPS 9mm, she is able to carry on her person without altering her clothing hardly at all. But again it is about preference. what Caliber are you leaning toward? how many rounds are you happy with? Where are you looking to carry (small of you back, appendix, underarm, pocket?) If you can answer those things, the firearm will work itself out fairly easily in my opinion...
