Just scored a cannon! Need help with an ID and possible loads

So today I was flipping through Facebook marketplace and found an ad for a signal cannon. Went met the guy he says he inherited it from an older relative who just passed away, and they used to shoot it off at parties all the time. I see some residue inside from where it has been fired. The barrel is 21 inches long. The boar is 1 inch. It’s heavy as sin. I can’t find one mark on it and I believe it’s steel. Any info appreciated. Load recommendation?

Wow what a great score, that’s a nice one……. You may want to clean her out to prevent corrosion and rust from the powder residue. Making your loads up in advance using aluminum foil is the best way to do it. I may have a small amount of loads made up for my 1” bore that I could share
