This is a 5' Eastern Diamond Back. It's hard to see on the top photo, but his head is just left of the pipe, and his body is to the left of the mound of scrub in the middle of the photo in what looks like a shadow.

I cheated. Long story short- it was spotted by a family member at a range of around 100 yards! If you look at the top of the first photo most everything is green, but we sprayed around the irrigation trailer. The snake moved one of the larger dead branches and he spotted the movement. Wondering what was he drove a 4 wheeler right over the top it before he finally found it. He told me where it was and I still didn't see it until my second pass.I've always told the folks who love to hunt but don't like snakes that they would never set foot in the woods if they knew what they stepped beside on the way to their stand. Thanks for sharing. How in the world did you spot that thing?
I have a great zoom lens! And how did you get that close up picture from the next county over????????........

Yep. People can come up with Kryptec and Realtree and Multicam and on and on and on, but Mother Nature still has better camo than anything we’ve got!Incredible natural camouflage
Cool picture
