Easy enough to do most anywhere.

Pass or fail. All shots have to hit; within the time limit, to pass.
All strings are 2.7secs
USPSA or IPSC w/ 4" circle in head
Head hit outside the circle is -1
Each body zone out is -1
Draw from concealment
String 1: 1 head shot, strong hand only. 3yds
String 2: 1 head shot, free style. 5yds
String 3: 1 head shot, free style. 7yds
String 4: 2 body shots. 10yds

I will try this. 2.7 seconds is where I will most likely have problems. Either way it is simple to remember and gives me something to work on.
Is there a circle size for the body shots in string 4?

I guess I don't get it either. So a hit in the head box but OUTside the 4" circle within the 2.7sec par is a fail? What does the -1 relate to?

For your personal knowledge when you're keeping your training records. Drop one shot, or fail one time limit, you fail the course. Just like in "real life".

The body A zone on a standard IPSC target is a rectangle roughly 6"X11".

In the absence of an IPSC or IDPA target a 3"x5"'index card for the head and an 8" paper plate for the body are acceptable substitutes.

Good idea. Thanks!
