Kerosene Pricing and Availabilty - Kennesaw/Acworth/Dallas/Cartersville

I hear ya. I finally gave up and buy whatever I can find. I've been burning equal amounts of died & clear K1 in my Kerosun for the last 15 years and still on my original wick. No detectable difference in smell.

I didn't say this in the original post due to trolls out there being critical of my plans for using the Kerosene. I have a parts washer that this will be used in, the Red Dye will tint some of my parts and I don't want that. So there it is, let the trolls commentary begin.

So i left 3 voice mails at Galbreth, with no call backs, every time I call, it goes to voicemail so I suspect that they stay busy. I am going to call them again or make a personal visit, it is only about 15 miles from Kennesaw, so worth the trip IMO.

Update from this morning, Gilreath does not sell clear kerosene, only RED. Just so we close the loop on each post, so y'all can feel good about everyone responding and know i checked each one out.... took the day off so i have some time to play :)

try theses guys just off the square in marietta

Hey D_Max, i have driven by S.A. White a thousand times and never thought about them, actually when I saw your posting, i discounted them because i only see the big trucks there. Anyway, called them, $2.75 gallon, 55 gal drum or bring yer own container(s). I only need 20 gallons for my parts washer, so that's what I am going to pickup now. Why even pay $4.75 at MAPCO (great tip from DragRacer by the way, espcially since they stay open 24 hours vs. S.A. White 9-5, M-F).

Glad you found a place

A final update. I went to S.A. White Oil on Thursday, 10Mar16, around 10 am EST. I went up to the loading doc window where retail sales are made and a nice worker helped me. I got 20 gallons of K1 Clear Kerosene for $2.79 a gallon. Fast, friendly and nearly free compared to the cheapest of $4.75 a gallon at MAPCO. As I said previously, S.A. White is NOT open 24 hours, so if you need it, go to MAPCO.

Thanks for everyone who helped with this Treasure Hunt.
