land surveyor - Athens

Want to have someone lay out our boundaries on rural land.

I have the plat from the county office, and it has the coordinates to the pins.

Ideally, I can get some recommendations before hiring someone.

You can prolly find the existing pins yourself with buddy, a chain, and a flat bladed shovel.

Barry Lord in Commerce did mine. He was very reasonable.

How old is the platt you have and is the stamp with the surveyor who certified it name on it ? If so, that surveyor, if still in business, is generally your lowest cost option as he will have his originals on file and “know his work” in the field.

Having 17 years in the surveying industry, this is sound advice. Almost always this will be your cheapest option if the original surveying company is still around.
