No amount of engraving will ever make a gun a "better" gun. Even in the heyday of hand built guns, rifles, like Holland & Holland, Purdy, Rigby...the very best engraving only added 2-3% of the cost, new.

The Beretta below, which I bought new at the Beretta Gallery years ago, was said by the Beretta Gallery to have been engraved by Angelo Galeazi, when he was a student at Botega Giovanelli, a local Itallian engraving school. Today, he charges a minimum of $75,000 to engrave a single gun or rifle, so I have been told. In the photo, please note the metal to metal fit rather than focusing on the engraving. Quality is built in, not applied to.....

The etching in the OP is excellent by the way, for those who have a taste for it.

Looks good, we have a couple of Keyence 3-axis engravers at work. I have been playing with them, when I have time. I made a couple projects with them. Luckily, I have an unlimited amount of material to play with. I will post a couple pictures when I get home.
