I put up a thread a few weeks ago about LCR vs Smith airweight and for what I got back the LCR won out. So 2 weeks ago I got my LCR 357 now I'm looking for a comfortable way to carry it. I have heard about Talon holsters which seemed like the way to go but before I drop any cash on something I won't be happy with I would like to here yalls input. I applied last week for my carry permit so this puppy will be on my side a lot. What have yall had that wins as far as function and comfort? Thanks ahead of time!

Holsters are like underwear, everyone has their favorites. Some guys will like one style, and another will like another. You'll probably end up with a drawer full of holsters that someone recommended and you tried and didn't like.

When I had my LCR, I used a Blackhawk #3 and carried it in my pocket. But as b.a. said, to each his or her own.

Does anyone take what kind/type belt to use for concealed carry or does a Wal-Mart special due?

Using a Mao Mart special belt is about like trying to walk a German Shepard with dental floss. Or like kissing your sister, you can do it, but it's ill advised and the outcome won't be what you are expecting.

I use a custom Jones Tactical belt that I've worn for 3 years now, not a bit of sag at all.

I'd recommend an alien gear holster if you want a cheap inside waistband holster to try. It probably requires a belt but you just have to keep a shirt below the belt line and it should be invisible except when you have to bend over, but thankfully Georgia doesn't have laws on printing like some states. One of those trigger guard kydex clip on with lanyard might be good for pocket carry too. I picked up a $12 wal mart nylon backed work belt and it seems to be a littler better than a cheap leather belt and it did fine while mowing grass today but I don't expect it to last over a year. I would like to invest in a good quality leather gun belt some day though.
