Knew a kid years ago put racing slicks on his street ride.
He had just swapped my mildly built 312 Merc into his ‘57 Fairlane hardtop.
First rain he took out the right rear quarter panel.

Way back whince upon a time I had a 67 Mustang Fstbk.
Just a 302 with a/t but we had done Shelby front end mods,
changed to big block 'tang front swaybar and added an
addco rear sway bar. So it handled pretty good. Guy I
knew had 2 Falcon (v-8) 13" wheels with the 5 lug 4.5" bolt pattern.
Another guy had 2 13" Mickey Thompson radials 1/2 worn down
he used for autocrossing. So I borrowed both, mounted the MTs
on the 13" wheels and put them on front of Mootang. Sure looked
small in those wheel wells. Then drove it and it was amazing how
quickly that thing would change direction. Like it was on rails. Had
'em on there for about 2 weeks before had to give them back.
