Well... I have a problem with my Lee Enfield. A little background... I bought a 1941 no4 mk 1 Lithgow off the ODT a few months back. After putting 10 rounds through it, I took it apart for a good wipe down cleaning and assessment. I noticed then that the recoil block on the wood stock had been broken on one side (see pics). It looks like it had been like this for a while. It also looks like the left recoil block is starting to crack as well. I am now afraid to shoot it and further damage the stock. Do you know of anyone or anyway to repair the recoil block at the back of the stock Do you think I should just buy a replacement stock? I only have $200 in the whole thing but I want to be able to shoot it and not worry. I also want it to be in the standard, as issued, configuration and not sporterized. All in all, it is a really good looking Enfield and stock. I really hate I am having this problem. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.
