its ok i feel better now ---- not realy smash'em like the rotten roaches they are!!!

My time is valuable ;)

I don't mind people not driving 15 mph over the speed limit. I hate the idiots who, with multiple lanes traveling in the same direction, decide they are going to block faster drivers by blocking the left lane. Generally while matching the speed of the right lane. This then creates a line of cars behind them, all waiting for an opportunity to accelerate. They have absolutely no idea that the only thing they are accomplishing is making people angry to the point where I'm ready to run them off the road. Many of them are currently still on the road, and not dead or in a ditch, simply because most people value our freedom slightly more than we want to teach them a lesson about when it is appropriate to use the left lane.

It is not appropriate when you are not immediately making a left turn and you are not actively passing other cars. "I passed a guy 1/2 a mile ago" is not a valid reason for occupying the left lane. "I'm turning left in 10 miles" is not a valid reason for occupying the left lane. Get over and stop pissing people off.

Being a "Lane Ranger" can be against the law:

O.C.G.A. said:
§ 40-6-184. Impeding traffic flow; minimum speed in left-hand lanes

(a) (1) No person shall drive a motor vehicle at such a slow speed as to impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic, except when reduced speed is necessary for safe operation.

(2) On roads, streets, or highways with two or more lanes allowing for movement in the same direction, no person shall continue to operate a motor vehicle in the most left-hand lane at less than the maximum lawful speed limit once such person knows or should reasonably know that he is being overtaken in such lane from the rear by a motor vehicle traveling at a higher rate of speed, except when such motor vehicle is preparing for a left turn.

Unfortunately, all they have to do is hit the speed limit and then it's perfectly legal as of now. I'm going to re-write part (2) to read:

"(2) On roads, streets, or highways with two or more lanes allowing for movement in the same direction, no person shall continue to operate a motor vehicle in the most left-hand lane once such person knows or should reasonably know that he is being overtaken in such lane from the rear by a motor vehicle traveling at a higher rate of speed, except when such motor vehicle actively passing other motor vehicles or is preparing for a left turn."

Then I'm going to send it to my representatives and tell them to pass it and have it enforced. I'd bet money that accidents and road rage incidents would drop if such a law was enforced.

I don't know how the roads are in your neck of the woods, but on I-75 south, (Atlanta to Valdosta) when there are three lanes of traffic, the left lane is the only one that you can use that is smooth enough to keep from losing the fillings out of your teeth. The big rigs dominate the two right lanes and a lot of people stay in the left lane forever.
I have to admit, that I use the left lane, but if approached by a faster vechicle, will change lanes until I can safely get back into the left lane.

I am with ya man. I can't stand people that do that. I make it a point to try and see them when I finally can get around them, and 90% of the time they are on the phone.
