That looks like the air gun Lewis and Clark took with them on their little adventure West. Forget the name.

Every time they entered a new Indian village they demonstrated how it would penetrate an inch or so of wood. The natives were very impressed at the rate of fire and lack of smoke.

Probably one of the biggest reasons they made it back home.

Ding ding! Winner!! Girardoni air rifle, issued by the Austrian army from 1780 to 1815, later used by Lewis and Clark.
