French MAS bullpup variant (experimental prototype) from 1954 similar to the MAS-b bullpup rifle but with a few tweaks that make it a different design (which was never adopted.)

Looks kinda like the J. P. Foote designed Encom/Enfield/CMP mp45 America model. I don’t think I have seen one with a wood grip and handguard though.
 
Foote's guns that used box magazines all had the magazines coming up from the bottom in the conventional way,

except he did design a belt-fed light machine gun that the belt come in from the side as you would expect for a belt fed weapon.
