Merry Christmas to you all and especially to your son! Being the parent of a member of the military no matter which branch is an AWESOME feeling. There's a special kind of bond between military parents even when they don't know each other personally, and with my wife & I we feel like these brave young men and women are "our kids" too. When our son was in the military and stationed in the states he would bring other members home to our house for holidays when they couldn't make it home to their own families. For those few days those kids became "our kids", we treated them as they were ours and took em' to grandma's house and did everything we would normally do. It was the greatest feeling to have these kids call us "mom & dad". We wouldn't trade those holidays for all the money in the world. Thank you for raising such great kids and please thank your son from my family for doing such a noble thing as becoming a Marine! Tell him another mom & dad love him and will keep him in our prayers. Semper Fi young man!
